That's how it goes with sickness and disease. Seek the best medical doctors and practitioners you can find… ones who believe in your healing and find your own power of belief inside.
Sounds simple… “but I'm scared… terrified, I feel like I've been given a life sentence.” “I don't want to leave my family,” “I'm too young to have heart disease, cancer, M.S.;” “...my family needs me.” Yes, you are frightened. You are too young (even at 80) and your family does need you.
So how do I let go of fear and find my belief?
First, let me stress, that this is an adjunct process. It does not replace your doctor’s and medical team’s plan for your healing, it reinforces it.

Now this may sound weird but have you ever thought about how you create saliva in your mouth?
Can you do it right now? Probably not. If you take a moment and close your eyes, and imagine the most beautiful yellow lemon hanging from a tree. |
Then imagine that you pick it and take it home to put in your tea.
Once you're home you look at it and see the brightness of its color, notice the moisture forming on the peel from the juices bursting to come out.
You take a knife and cut it in half.
The juices squirt everywhere. And about now most of you are salivating.
Your own mind created a physical response within your body.
Simply through your own imagination.
This is how the healing response begins --- through your imagination and visualization.
See it and believe it.

Sad Movies
Here's another example.
Most of us have seen the movies, "Bambi", "Old Yeller", "E.T.", or some other very sad movie.
Why, does everyone cry? It's fiction, cartoon characters they aren't real!
|
We feel the loss so deeply inside while we're in the theater, that it seems real.
Our emotions and our physiology respond to what the subconscious mind is at least momentarily experiencing as real.
Our conscious mind is in somewhat of a hypnotic state, and when the scene is over, it kicks in and we stop crying,
and the sadness begins to leave and we think what a great movie we just saw.
|
|
So how can you use this knowledge to help in your healing? Simple.
|
In a relaxed state, feed your subconscious mind positive messages, pictures and
feelings about your healing, about you being healthy and whole.
The best way to accomplish this is with soft music and the appropriate words, phrases and pacing to create
the healing environment and belief you need to let go of your fear and strengthen your belief.

Former NASA researcher, Dr. Charles Garfield,
talks about an astounding experiment conducted by Soviet sports scientists.
The study explored the effects of mental training through visualization, on four groups of world-class
athletes just prior to the 1980 Lake Placid, Olympics. The four groups of athletes were divided as follows:
|
Group 1 - did 100% physical training to prepare for the Olympic Games.
Group 2 - did 75% physical training and 25% mental (visualization) training.
Group 3 - did 50% physical training and 50% mental (visualization) training.
Group 4 - did 25% physical training and 75% mental (visualization) training.
What researcher found was that Group 4, the group with the most visualization training showed the greatest improvement of all of
the other groups! Group 3 did better than Group 2, and Group 2 did better than Group 1.
|
If visualization could have such an astounding impact on the performance of world
class athletes Imagine what it can do for you!
There have been many studies showing dramatic results using visualization as an adjunct for healing.
